This year has been different in many ways - with Thanksgiving under COVID restrictions, you may be planning a more low-key and socially distanced gathering. As you prepare for this exciting event, we’ve put together a list of tips to keep your furry ones safe this holiday season.

Last week, our Animal Care Officers sprung into action after getting dispatched to a call for a trapped kitten! The kitten was stuck by a dumpster and desperately crying out for help. Our officers dug to the bottom of the dumpster to see if the kitten was possibly under all of the trash, but no luck. Upon further inspection, the kitten was spotted under the dumpster, but out of reach.

Halloween is fast approaching and ongoing COVID related cautions will likely change some traditional activities like door to door trick-or-treating. Despite this “new normal,” Halloween is still considered a family-oriented holiday and many people like to include their pets in the festivities. Animal Care Services offers these tips to keep your entire family safe--whether they have two legs or four!
