Viewers can tune into TVSA and Public Access TV to learn more about San Antonio and how City government works and impacts all residents.
On TVSA, viewers can see shows that include:
Capital Ventures – keeps viewers up to date on San Antonio's 2012-2017, $596 million Bond Program; capital improvement projects around the city; and other initiatives. The show is produced by the Capital Improvements Management Services Department.
- Pawsitively Pets – a program hosted by the City of San Antonio's Animal Care Services department is a show dedicated to helping residents become more responsible pet owners. From the importance of spay/neuter to the latest animal laws and regulations, “Pawsitively Pets” features a look at all the ways the community can embrace the No Kill goal for 2012.
- To Your Good Health – a program by the San Antonio Metropolitan Health District that explores the public health issues and challenges that face the community and the programs and services that address them. Topics include maternal and child health, immunizations, communicable diseases, food safety, emergency preparedness and environmental health.
Residents can also watch live City Council meetings on Thursdays at 9 a.m.
TVSA can currently be seen on Time Warner Cable channel 21, Grande Cable channel 20, and AT&T U-verse channel 99. For more information, visit the TVSA website.
The City of San Antonio also manages and operates a 24-hour Public Access Channel called PATV. PATV provides San Antonio residents with an opportunity to produce non-commercial, alternative programming for public broadcast.
Currently, PATV can be seen on Time Warner Digital Cable Channel 20, Grande Communications Channel 19, and AT&T U-verse Channel 99.
