The Summer Reading Program has begun and everyone can participate. Register any time to participate by visiting your neighborhood branch library or by visiting www.mysapl.org/srp.
This year’s Summer Reading Program is bigger and better than ever before as the San Antonio Public Library has added an Adult Reading component to the program for the very first time. Adults will have to read three books between June 1 and Aug. 31. As for the children’s and teen programs, reading logs are available at any branch library or at Central Library beginning June 1, or online at wwww.mysapl.org/srp. Once the logs have been completed and submitted, children will receive a certificate of completion signed by Mayor Castro and can choose one free book. Teens can sign up, read a book and attend a teen event and their names will be entered into a grand prize drawing that will take place during the annual Teen GameFest in August.
