San Antonio’s competitiveness and standard of living depends in part on the ability to increase the education of the current workforce, as well as that of the minority and low-income population that have traditionally been left behind.
These challenges have been met with the City’s continued commitment to Workforce Development.
Currently, the City of San Antonio, through the Economic Development Department manages seven workforce development contracts.
Those contracts are with the following agencies:
- Project Quest
- Goodwill
- Dress for Success
- Alamo Community College’s Seguir Adelante Program
- Each One Teach One
- SA Youth
- Chrysalis Ministries
The sum total of these contracts represents an investment in workforce education by the City of just more than $2 million.
