After a Complaint is Submitted
If you apply online, you will receive a confirmation email with a case number. Keep this case number for your records.
The Office of Equity will verify that the complaint qualifies as a discrimination complaint as defined by the Non-Discrimination Ordinance. Your verified discrimination complaint will be forwarded to the appropriate City Department for an investigation. If the complaint does not qualify, you will be contacted by the Office of Equity within 3 business days of submitting the complaint and, where possible, provided with further resources to resolve the complaint.
