The City of San Antonio is initiating a public comment period on Friday July 10, 2020 through Friday, July 17, 2020. This is a U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) required public comment period for a Substantial Amendment to the City’s FY 2016-2020 (PY 2015 – 2019) Consolidated Plan to extend the current plan for one additional year to include the FY 2021 (PY 2020) Action Plan and Budget and to amend the City’s citizen participation plan requirements for Action Plans and Substantial Amendments in response to COVID-19.
A summary of the proposed action will be available for public review and comment through July 17, 2020 on the City’s website at www.sanantonio.gov/gma in the “Public Notices” section and at www.sanantonio.gov/gmainaction. Please note, due to the current public health crisis, NHSD lobby is closed to the public until further notice, therefore only the digital document is available for review. Any individual, group, or agency wishing to comment on the proposed Substantial Amendment to the City’s FY 2016-2020 (PY 2015 – 2019) Consolidated Plan may submit written comments to the City of San Antonio, Neighborhood and Housing Services Department, Division of Grants Monitoring & Administration, Attention: Grants Administrator, 1400 S. Flores Street, San Antonio, Texas 78204; by email to email@example.com or at www.sanantonio.gov/gmainaction. All comments received by July 17, 2020 will be reviewed and considered by the City of San Antonio prior to City Council adoption of the Substantial Amendment City’s FY 2016-2020 (PY 2015 – 2019) Consolidated Plan. Written comments should specify which notice they are addressing.
City Council consideration for the adoption of the Substantial Amendment to City’s FY 2016-2020 (PY 2015 – 2019) Consolidated Plan and FY 2021 Action Plan and Budget will take place at 9 a.m. on Thursday, August 13, 2020 in the City Council Chamber, Municipal Plaza Building.
Meetings held at Municipal Plaza building are wheelchair accessible. The accessible entrance is located at 103 Main Plaza. Accessible parking spaces are located at City Hall, 100 Military Plaza. Auxiliary aids and services are available upon request (interpreters for the deaf must be requested forty-eight (48) hours prior to the meeting) by calling (210) 207-7245 V/TDD for assistance. Close captioning is available on broadcasts of the Council Meeting on cable channel 21-TVSA.
