SAN ANTONIO (Apr. 22, 2019) – E-Scooters and e-bikes are not allowed on Fiesta Battle of Flowers or Fiesta Flambeau event footprints, including areas within the parade route and street closures. The Fiesta Battle of Flowers Parade will take place on Friday, April 26, and the Fiesta Flambeau Parade will take place on Saturday, April 27. Street closures will begin at 7 a.m. on April 26, and at 3 p.m. on April 27. Riders will not be able to cross the parade route.

E-scooters can be picked up and dropped off at designated scooter parking zones as shown on the attached map. Look for flags indicating scooter parking. The City of San Antonio has worked closely with the dockless vehicle companies to foster deployment of vehicles in designated parking areas and to avoid the footprints of the Fiesta parades.

The City of San Antonio encourages scooter riders to practice safe riding and be mindful of pedestrians and vehicles. Helmets are strongly encouraged, only one rider per vehicle is allowed, and riders must be age 16 or older.

As e-scooters and e-bikes have become increasingly popular, the City of San Antonio is committed to striking a balance between innovative transportation options and providing safe, accessible sidewalks and streets. Click here to watch a video on scooter tips to make the Fiesta Parades enjoyable for everyone.
