SAN ANTONIO (May 2, 2019) – Today, Councilwoman Rebecca J. Viagran and Mayor Ron Nirenberg recognized the 100th Anniversary of St. Leo the Great Catholic Church. Since 1919, St. Leo’s has provided District 3 residents with the tools and foundation to change, and encouraged them to encompass the spiritual spectrums of life.
“St. Leo the Great has been beacon and home for the Southside, they meet both the physical and spiritual needs of the community,” said Viagran. “This church and its parishioners have been advocates for the community and they represent the past, present and future of San Antonio. We look forward to another 100 years of St. Leo the Great Catholic Church.”
