SAN ANTONIO (Feb. 14, 2020) – Councilwoman Gonzales issued the following statement after regarding the arbitration panel’s final award of a collective bargaining agreement between the San Antonio Professional Firefighters Association and City of San Antonio:
“I’m glad we’ve come to a point where we can put this matter behind us. Our city has needed this resolution for far too long.
We welcome this contract and acknowledge the accomplishment of all parties during the arbitration process. Thank you to our firefighters and first responders for their work, to the arbitration panel for awarding this contract, and to City staff for protecting our city’s best interest.
Let’s go forward now in a spirit of cooperation.”
