SAN ANTONIO (May 26, 2020) – Today, Metro Health launched a COVID-19 Community Survey. The purpose of this survey is to gather information and analyze the data of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) symptoms, testing and social distancing behavior in the San Antonio community by zip code. The results from this survey will only be used for insights and to help public health specialists and policymakers recommend effective measures over the coming months. The survey is available in English, Spanish, and other languages; and can be taken at covid19.sanantonio.gov or by calling the Metro Health hotline at 210-207-5779.

Metro Health aims to empower and educate residents to take an active role in both preventing the spread of the novel coronavirus and caring for their own well-being as they cope with the impact of this pandemic.

"By understanding the pandemic's local impact, we will be able to better assist the community as we all adjust to the changing environment, while also becoming better equipped to respond to public health challenges with greater accuracy, speed and effectiveness in the future. We encourage the public to take the survey,” said Dr. Dawn Emerick, Director of Metro Health.

This survey will be open through August 3 and will be evaluated every two weeks. The public is invited to take the survey at covid19.sanantonio.gov or by calling our COVID-19 Hotline at 210-207-5779. Results of the survey will be provided to the Mayor and City Council this fall.
