Councilwoman Sandoval to Join Conversation with Local, National Leaders on Building Equitable Infrastructure

CONTACT: Matthew Baiza

San Antonio, TX (May 11, 2021) – Today at 1:00 P.M. CST, the National League of Cities (NLC) will host a webinar with local and national leaders on how to build equitable infrastructure as Congress considers a major infrastructure investment package. Councilwoman Ana Sandoval will join elected officials from across the United States to highlight local initiatives to recover from the effects of the COVID-19 Pandemic as well as discuss how the next infrastructure plan from Washington needs to acknowledge how equitable approaches to transportation, broadband access, clean water, and workforce training can make a difference in rebuilding the places we call “home.”
The webinar will also include keynote remarks from Senator Alex Padilla (D-CA) and former U.S. Transportation Secretary Anthony Foxx.
The public can join America’s local leaders as they share insights on their ongoing work to rebuild and their goals for Washington to bring forward a bipartisan infrastructure package that reaches everyone nationwide.
This event is being hosted in partnership with United for Infrastructure and will feature:

  • The Honorable Ana Sandoval, Councilmember, City of San Antonio, Texas
