In 2005, Leticia M. Vacek, City Clerk sought a way to ensure that the records of the governance of the City of San Antonio were being housed in a manner that reflected their historical significance. With conservation and access always in the forefront, Mrs. Vacek spearheaded an effort in 2007 to create and maintain a Digital Collection making document accessible for citizens a 24 hour affair.
We currently offer several thousand items in our digital collections, with new content being added regularly. However, due to the high volume of records in our facility, online access is not available for every item. Individuals interested in access to materials not available online may view our finding aids or visit the Municipal Archives & Records Facility to view materials in person.
