San Antonio (April 4, 2017)--Children, ages 5 to 12, are invited to enjoy a one-of-a-kind underwater egg hunt offered by the San Antonio Parks and Recreation Department. Hundreds of colorful eggs, some designated for special prizes, will be tossed into the pool for a very exciting Underwater Eggstravaganza.
The family-friendly event will be held at the San Antonio Natatorium, 1430 W. Cesar Chavez Blvd, on Saturday, April 8, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Guests will also enjoy arts and crafts, water games, photo opportunities with the Easter Bunny and other activities for all ages. All participants ages 5-12 will receive prizes.
The Underwater Egg Hunt will divide children into three age groups:
- Ages 5 and 6 will hunt in the baby pool at 10 and 11:30 a.m.
- Ages 7 to 9 will hunt in the main pool at 10:30 a.m. and noon
- Ages 10 to 12 will hunt in the main pool at 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
Participants must wear proper swim attire (no denim please). Children must be able to swim on their own without the use of flotation devices. Lifeguards and staff members will oversee each hunt.
