Metal detecting is permitted in selected City parks by permit only.

The City of San Antonio Parks and Recreation Department allows citizens to engage in water recreation activities in specified bodies of water.

The plazas are unstaffed, free, and open to the public during park hours, which are 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. Not all parks have lighting available.
