Fitness in the Park

Ready...set...get fit!  Fitness in the Park is a city-wide program that offers a wide variety of FREE exercise and fitness classes all over San Antonio!  Join us at your local park, community center, or library and let us help you achieve your fitness goals.  Just take a look at our current schedule and find a class that intrigues you.  There is no registration required and classes are open to all fitness levels.

Fitness in the Park was one of three programs recognized by the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA) when it was awarded the Excellence in Innovative Programming Award at the association's 2013 Congress & Exposition in Houston, Texas.  The award honors organizations that demonstrate leadership through advanced, groundbreaking ideas in programming.  In 2014, Fitness in the Park was also the recipient of the International City/County Management Association's (ICMA) Community Health & Safety Award.

Be part of Fitness in the Park, San Antonio Parks and Recreation’s award-winning program, by volunteering to be a fitness instructor. The Fitness in the Park program offers hundreds of fitness classes every month around the City.

If you’re interested in volunteering to become a Fitness in the Park instructor, fill out and fax the Fitness in the Park Instructor Application.
