SAN ANTONIO'S SIDEWALK REconstruction PROGRAM
The primary goal of the Sidewalk Reconstruction Program is to strategically repair deteriorated sidewalks in a manner that restores the most miles of sidewalks to usability. Deteriorated sidewalks limit connectivity and create hazards for pedestrians that use our sidewalks to reach their destination.
The sidewalk locations reconstructed for (FY) 2020 are shown in the links below.

- Sidewalk reconstruction efforts will be completed by City Crews and will be primarily focused on residential neighborhoods.
- The City of San Antonio has conducted a comprehensive evaluation of the condition of the existing sidewalk network.
- Using the data from the condition assessment effort, staff will evaluate those segments where no more than 30% of the sidewalk needs to be repaired. Segments requiring a higher percentage would be recommended for reconstruction under a different funding mechanism, for example Neighborhood Access and Mobility Program (NAMP), the Bond Program (Pedestrian Mobility Program), Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG), etc.
SIDEWALK REBATE PROGRAM
The City also offers a limited Sidewalk Rebate Program for those property owners who wish to hire a contractor to repair their sidewalks. Visit the Sidewalk Rebate Program for more details.
