The Public Safety Headquarters building (PSHQ) is located at 315 South Santa Rosa.
Besides a 640-space, nine-story parking garage, the headquarters building houses SAPD's Tactical Operations, Night Patrol Command, Administration offices and investigative units, Walsh said. The building also will house SAFD's Administration, Arson Investigations, Fire Operations and Community Safety Divisions.
The building will feature sustainable design elements, such as solar panels on the parking garage roof and drains that redirect rainwater underneath the building for future harvesting.
If a member of the public is coming to Public Safety Headquarters (PSHQ) to speak to a Department member in a follow-up unit as a witness or complainant in a case, we ask them to park in the paid city parking lot at the intersection of Nueva and Santa Rosa. The Department member will gladly assist them with having their ticket validated to waive parking fees.
If a member of the public is coming to PSHQ to purchase a report, they are responsible for the cost of their parking, wherever they choose to park.
If a member of the public requires the use of an Americans With Disability (ADA) parking space, they are allowed to use an ADA parking spot within the PSHQ parking lot while they conduct business within the building.
