Woman Arrested in Connection to her Son's Death

San Antonio, Texas, September 25, 2018: The San Antonio Police Department's Homicide Unit has arrested Alma Munoz, age 47, in connection with the death of her son, Joshua Alonzo, age 21.  


On May 27, 2018, officers were dispatched to the 200 block of Albert Street for a death report. Upon arrival, officers found the victim, Joshua Alonzo, deceased and severely malnourished. The Bexar County Medical Examiner stated the victim showed signs of severe malnutrition and dehydration.


Due to the evidence discovered in the investigation by the Homicide Unit and Bexar County Medical Examiner, a warrant was issued for Munoz’s arrest and she was booked in the Bexar County Jail for the first-degree felony charge of Injury to Disabled Serious Bodily Injury.
