Please join the San Antonio Police Department at the 6th Annual Family Assistance Crisis Team (F.A.C.T.) Volunteer Appreciation Picnic.
The Family Assistance Crisis Team (F.A.C.T.), established in December 1991, is a collaborative, community project responding to victims of family violence. In 1995, F.A.C.T. became part of the Victims Advocacy Office of the San Antonio Police Department. Since its beginning, more than 1800 F.A.C.T. volunteers have been trained to offer crisis intervention services to victims and their families.
Domestic violence and its devastating consequences take a toll on the entire community. Volunteers help make a difference one life at a time by assisting victims of family violence. They provide information on available community resources, their rights, how it affects children in the home and the need to have a safety plan.
