San Antonio International Airport is Ranked One of the Best in North America

SAN ANTONIO (March 6, 2018) – Airports Council International (ACI) World announced the winners of the 2017 Airport Service Quality (ASQ) Awards and the San Antonio International Airport (SAT) tied for third place from the 48 different airports in the North American category. This is the second year SAT has placed third in this highly regarded and extremely competitive industry poll.  Each year the awards are given to the airports around the globe that demonstrate commitment to providing an excellent customer experience.

ASQ is the only worldwide program to survey passengers at the airport on the day of their travel. The program measures passengers’ views of 34 key performance areas including airport access, check-in, security screening, restrooms, stores, restaurants and passenger comments on their best and worst experiences at an airport. 

Among SAT’s highest scoring areas were waiting time for check-in, waiting time for security, ease of finding your way through the airport, and cleanliness of the airport.

SAT will be honored in September at the ASQ Awards Ceremony to be held in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.
