Councilwoman Viagran celebrates the grand opening of Confluence Park

National, state, county, city officials and major donors mark Opening Celebration of innovative S.T.E.A.M. education center on March 3

SAN ANTONIO (March 2, 2018) — The Opening Celebration for the transformative Southside education center, Confluence Park, is tomorrow, March 3, from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. The celebration will begin with multiple “vignettes” to showcase cultural, educational, ecological and recreational opportunities at Confluence Park. It will also include a series of speakers from state, city, county, San Antonio River Foundation and San Antonio River Authority leadership as well as the park’s major donors and supporters. San Antonio River Foundation leadership will be on-site to answer questions about the $13 million park’s development, construction and continuing vision of environmental education, stewardship and community involvement.
