2019 Mission Marquee Plaza Movie & Market Schedule

Mission Marquee Plaza, 3100 Roosevelt Ave. | Markets at 10 AM, Movie at 6 PM

This year's family film series will kick-off on Friday, March 29, 2019 and will run through Saturday, November 16, 2019. Enjoy an outdoor movie under the Texas night sky as the original screen of the former Mission Drive-In off Roosevelt Ave. is lit up with new and old classic feature films. There are always food trucks on-site and free popcorn courtesy of City Base Cinema. 

Free parking is available so plan ahead to attend one of many movie nights free and available to the community! Bring your blankets, lawn chairs and pets (Mission Marquee is pet friendly)!

 

Living Heritage Symposium - Open Reception

The Living Heritage Symposium aims to develop action steps, in the form of policies or other recommendations, for the treatment and protection of culturally significant properties and communities. Experts from around the world in the fields of urban planning, economic development and historic preservation will work together to formulate integrative policies that foster sustainable urban communities. The experience will provide a collaborative training environment in which participants will gain knowledge from other fields and learn the most recent international innovations and best practices for producing sustainable urban communities. Participants will leave the symposium with an expanded core base of knowledge in their field, and related fields, while also assisting in the production of new tools and strategies that cities in the United States may implement to benefit their communities and heritage assets. The 2018 Symposium will integrate the UN' Sustainable Development goals as well as the goals of the New Urban Agenda of Habitat III adopted in Quito in 2016.

Music and Movie Under the Stars



Guests can enjoy an evening of Music and Movie Under the Stars, featuring live entertainment and the one-hour documentary of “The National Parks of Texas: In Contact with Beauty.” Celebrate our local heritage with food, music, and fun, and connect with our military historians and veterans to learn about our city’s rich military history. This free family-friendly event will be filled with fun interactive activities, pop-up vendors, food trucks, and refreshments. Hosted by the National Parks Conservation Association, Mission Heritage Partners, City of San Antonio Military Affairs Office and the World Heritage Office as part of the 2019 World Heritage Festival.
