2020 World Heritage Open House Virtual Series - June 22-24, 2020
The World Heritage Office hosted the 5th Annual World Heritage Open House on June 22-24, 2020. A series of three virtual meetings were held one each evening from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Meeting topics included City services and response programs during the COVID-19 health crisis, updates on bond projects in the World Heritage area, and information on other programs and services provided by City departments and local partners, such as the San Antonio River Authority, National Park Service, and Las Misiones.
Below are the meeting materials, including agendas, presentations, and Q&A. If you have any questions, contact us at 210-207-2111 or WorldHeritage@sanantonio.gov.
During the meeting held on June 23, 2020, the City of San Antonio shared information on two projects: Streets Renaming and the World Heritage Center. As part of the City’s efforts to improve signage and way finding along the World Heritage Trail, street name changes are being proposed for a continuous route to access the San Antonio Missions. Additionally, the City has begun gathering input from the community on the development of a new World Heritage Center. The community was invited to share input through two public surveys June 26 - July 31, 2020. Results from both surveys will be available soon.
