Welcome to City of San Antonio's Code Enforcement
Code Enforcement function resides within the City's Development Services Department and works closely with the development process. Code Enforcement is charged with the following regulations:
- Property use (zoning and other development requirements)
- Buildings and premises maintenance (City Code Chapter 6 Article IV)
- Dangerous structures including emergency demolitions (City Code Chapter 6 Article VIII)
- Inoperable vehicles (City Code Chapter 6 Article X)
- Other quality of life-related codes.

To register a property maintenance concern, residents can contact 311 Customer Service by calling 3-1-1 or 210-207-6000. Customers may also access the website or download the 311SA Mobile App. 311 is available seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Team members are automatically assigned service calls based on the geographic location and service type. See Code Enforcement processes for more information.

Teams & Units
Code Enforcement Officers who respond to complaints directly from citizens or the 311 customer service line. There are 81 Code Enforcement Officers assigned to Ten Field Enforcement Units. Each Unit provides inspection and enforcement services across the city as outlined below. These units respond to complaints received from citizens, the City's 311 system, and on a proactive basis.
