SAN ANTONIO (Nov. 30, 2017) – The following is a statement from Councilman Rey Saldaña regarding an upcoming public art project along IH-35 Frontage Road and Zarzamora:

“If you’ve driven down IH-35 near Zarzamora the past couple of days, you may have noticed a new addition to the landscape. A public art piece by San Antonio artist Cruz Ortiz is being installed that, when completed, will rise 60 feet into the air. Already, the response to Cruz’s sculpture has been overwhelming. And, rightfully so. It’s an exciting project for the residents of District 4 and the entire city. I look forward to joining Cruz and the community early next year to officially unveil and dedicate this great new San Antonio landmark and gateway to our Southside neighborhoods.”
