SAN ANTONIO (February 1, 2018) --- San Antonio Public Library invites families to visit their local library this Saturday, February 3, to celebrate national “Take Your Child to the Library Day”. The grassroots initiative was created in 2011 by Connecticut librarians Nadine Lipman and Caitlin Augusta to encourage families everywhere to take their children to their local library in an effort to raise community awareness about the importance of the library in the life of a child. The San Antonio Public Library prepares children for success in reading, school, and life with a multitude of programming and resources available all year long.
Free, fun, and educational activities for children, teens, and adults are happening daily across San Antonio Public Library’s 30 locations throughout Bexar County. This Saturday, celebrate “Take Your Child to the Library Day” with a number of Come & Go Craft, Baby Time, Toddler Time, and Family Fun programs. Families can also Read to a Dog, participate in Yoga Story Time, and celebrate the 125th birthday of the children’s classic Peter Rabbit.
