Enjoy fun events this April at Market Square and La Villita!

SAN ANTONIO (April 6, 2018) – The City of San Antonio invites the community to visit Market Square and La Villita this month for a wide variety of free events.

Market Square Events (514 W. Commerce Street)

Primer Sabado: Viva Market Square!

Saturday, April 7 & Sunday, April 8, 12 p.m. – 6 p.m., FREE

Come celebrate a San Antonio tradition, a place for both locals and tourists, where the party always continues at the Historic Market Square! The event features Folklorico dancing in Farmer’s Market at 1 p.m., 2:30 p.m. and 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, and two stages of musical entertainment from 12-6 p.m. For more information, please call (210) 207-8600 or visit www.marketsquaresa.com.

Market Square Weekly Entertainment

Saturday, April 14 & Sunday, April 15, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m., FREE

56th Annual Starving Artist Art Show

Saturday, April 7 & Sunday, April 8, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m., FREE

Explore local artisan talent from around the Texas area. This free, family event will showcase quality handmade art, jewelry and unique specialty items. Yoga Around La Villita

Monthly series through September 2018, begins Tuesday, April 10 at 6:15 p.m., April – August FREE (September finale session is ticketed)

Need to unwind? Grab a friend and come participate in the Yoga Around La Villita series produced by La Villita and led by Mobile Om. Relax, get healthy, and unwind with Happy Hour specials at Guadalajara Grill after each session in the six-month series. Free parking provided at all City of San Antonio lots and garages for Downtown Tuesday. Each hour-long session starts at 6:15 p.m. The first free session will be on Tuesday, April 10 at Plaza Nacional. Taco Festival Music Y Mas

Saturday, April 14, 12 p.m. – 11 p.m., semi-ticketed event with free activations at the Arneson River Theatre and Plaza Juarez

San Antonio are you ready for the first annual Taco Festival hosted at La Villita? Taco Fest celebrates San Antonio’s unofficial dish, with tacos from over 30 restaurants, taquerias and food trucks. Every vendor will have at least one $2 taco option. Taco Fest will have three music stages with national, regional and local acts. Fun for the whole family; children under 10 are free. Night in Old San Antonio (NIOSA)

Each year the historic downtown village of La Villita takes center stage as 85,000 visitors gather for four nights to celebrate the city's unique heritage at "A Night in Old San Antonio." More than 250 elaborately decorated food and drink booths and more than a dozen nonstop entertainment stages represent the diverse cultures and customs of our city in 15 heritage-themed areas.
