Look Local Night celebrates and showcases local retail entrepreneurs while activating Houston Street

SAN ANTONIO (May 29, 2018) — The City of San Antonio’s OPEN Downtown Pop Up Shop program has partnered with Style Lush TV to host Look Local Night for the second year on Thursday, May 31 on Houston Street from N. St. Mary’s St. to Navarro St from 6-9 p.m. This free event celebrates local retail entrepreneurs by showcasing their latest inventory on the runway and giving attendees the opportunity to buy the fashion immediately at their pop up.

 

Fourteen local vendors selling unique, local, handmade wares are participating. Vendors include Eye Candy Boutique, Fiesta Feet, Golden Skyy, Her Hippie Heart, Thais Ann, Grayce Ln. Fashion, La Casa Frida, Bohemian Gemme, My SAS Couture, Element Boutique, JoyArte, Xtina Footwear, Fashion Diva Couture, and J. Lacel Boutique.

 

OPEN is an initiative of the Center City Development and Operations Department (CCDO) in partnership with property owners and retailers to offer local entrepreneurs a no-cost short-term lease in vacant downtown properties. The program activates vacant properties by introducing new, creative, and temporary retail locations with visual aesthetic. This pop-up program offers local business owners an opportunity to display their products, while simultaneously encouraging the community to shop locally.
