Pan American Branch Library to Temporarily Close for Renovations

Library improvements funded in the 2018 City Budget

SAN ANTONIO (June 11, 2018) – San Antonio Public Library will temporarily close Pan American Branch Library at 1122 W. Pyron Ave., 78221 in District 3 from Monday, June 18 through Wednesday, July 4 for improvements funded in the 2018 City Budget.  During the closure the book drop will remain open, and holds will be available for pickup Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.

 

Branch improvements include new furniture, new teen and children’s areas, new and improved computer tables, and more. The renovations are designed to ensure that the library remains a valuable community asset. Pan American Branch Library will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2019.

 

Pan American library patrons are encouraged to visit nearby locations to access print materials and DVDs, public computers, public WiFi, and summer reading programs for all ages. The nearest branches are Mission Branch Library (3134 Roosevelt Ave., 78214), Cortez Branch Library (2803 Hunter Blvd., 78224), and McCreless Branch Library (1023 Ada St., 78223). Thousand Oaks Branch Library in District 10 will also temporarily close Monday, June 25 through Wednesday, July 4 for improvements funded in the 2018 City Budget.
