SAN ANTONIO (Oct. 22, 2018) — Today, alongside Texas Governor Greg Abbott, San Antonio Mayor Ron Nirenberg and Bexar County Judge Nelson Wolff, Councilwoman Rebecca J. Viagran announced that the new North American headquarters for OKIN BPS will be located in District 3 of San Antonio on the Brooks campus.
“I am so excited and proud that OKIN BPS has chosen the Southside of San Antonio to launch their new headquarters in North America. This is just another example of the South San Antonio thriving and growing to be better and bolder than ever before,” said Viagran.
OKIN BPS, a Czech company that specializes in comprehensive business process services will be bringing a highly skilled and diverse workforce and will add an additional 1,400 new jobs in San Antonio. In an economic analysis prepared by city staff this project is estimated to contribute $1.4 billion to the community over the course of ten years through direct impact of jobs and wages. The indirect impact will result from business-to-business transactions, and the induced impact of increased spending at local businesses.
“Together with the City of San Antonio, San Antonio Economic Foundation, Brooks and Bexar County we will remain committed to helping OKIN succeed in the Southside of San Antonio and in City Council District 3,” said Viagran.
