Gear up for the Western Heritage Parade & Cattle Drive stomping your way on Saturday, Feb. 2!

 

SAN ANTONIO (Jan. 31, 2019) – The City of San Antonio invites the community to visit Market Square, La Villita, Travis Park and Houston Street this month for a wide variety of events.

 

Market Square Events (514 W. Commerce Street)
Primer Sabado Puro Rhythm & Blues
Saturday, Feb. 2 & Sunday, Feb. 3, 12 – 6 p.m., FREE

Univision “¡Despierta América!” - Live Broadcast from Market Square
Thursday, Feb. 14 & Friday, Feb. 15, 6 a.m. – 10 a.m., FREE

Market Square Rodeo Round Up
Saturday, Feb. 23 & Sunday, Feb. 24, 12 p.m. – 6 p.m., FREE

The Boho Market First Friday at La Villita
Friday, Feb. 1, 6 p.m. – 12 a.m., FREE
In partnership with The Boho Market, La Villita will host an arts market in Maverick Plaza. Stemming from a love of quality one-of-a-kind items, The Boho Market was formed to provide a place where hard-working makers and small business owners can showcase their amazing talents, and hosts local makers, curators, artisans, musicians, food, and drinks. San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo Vaquero Cook-Off
Friday, Feb. 1, 5 p.m. – 9 p.m. & Saturday, Feb. 2, 12 p.m. – 9 p.m., FREE
The San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo hosts its first-ever Vaquero Cook-Off at La Villita’s Maverick Plaza, part of the Western Heritage Parade and Cattle Drive. Teams will compete to see who makes the best Spanish rice, charro beans, carne guisada, and menudo. Enjoy great food, live music, and more! Texas Two Step CPR
Saturday, Feb. 9, Begins at 9 a.m., FREE

Downtown Events
Western Heritage Parade
Saturday, Feb. 2, 11 a.m., FREE
Join us for this free event as we step back in time to celebrate our historic Texas roots and the kick-off the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo. The parade route runs through the streets of downtown San Antonio and features participants who represent the heritage of our Lone Star State and the Old West. Fort Hood 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Sam Houston Caisson, Texas Heritage Riders and of course, a herd of Texas Longhorns are just some of the snapshots that celebrate the legacy of our great state. Fitness in the Park Boot Camp
Every Tuesday in February, 5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m., Free
Take your workout outdoors every Tuesday in February for Travis Park’s Fitness in the Park Boot Camp. Classes include a variety of activities geared towards increasing endurance, power, strength, stamina, and speed. Don’t forget your own reusable water bottle! Free and open to the public.
