SAN ANTONIO (March 28, 2019) — Councilwoman Rebecca J. Viagran has decided to enhance District 3 Code Fridays by including SAPD San Antonio Fear Free Environment (SAFFE) Officers, beginning on Friday, March 29. For years, District 3 residents have been able to schedule a confidential and one on one appointment with a Code Enforcement Officer to address property, building, and other concerns. Now residents will have the same opportunity with SAPD SAFFE Officers.

Residents are now able to meet with a District 3 SAFFE Officer for a 30 minute meeting to discuss and ask any questions they may have regarding safety in their neighborhoods.

“Adding SAPD SAFFE Officers to the equation is vital because situations sometimes require assistance from both Code Enforcement and SAPD,” said Councilwoman Viagran. “In the FY 2019 Budget we allocated funds for not one but two new District 3 SAFFE Officers and with Code Enforcement/SAPD SAFFE Fridays we are utilizing our designated officers and allowing our residents discuss their concerns confidently, privately and in a welcoming environment.”

Code Enforcement/SAPD SAFFE Friday’s are held once a month from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the District 3 Field Office, 3315 Sidney Brooks Suite 100, San Antonio, TX 78235. Walk-ins are welcome, and appointments receive priority. To schedule an appointment contact the District 3 Field Office at 210.207.0969 or district3@sanantonio.gov.
