San Antonio (May 9, 2019) – Today, City Council approved amendments to the Mission Del Lago Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone (TIRZ) Development Agreement, Project and Finance Plans, and Inter-local Agreements with Bexar County, University Health System and Southside Independent School District extending the TIRZ by five years.

The TIRZ encompasses 812 acres and is located approximately 1.5 miles south of Loop 410 South on Hwy 281 South adjacent to Mitchell Lake, near Mission Del Lago Golf Course.

"The TIRZ we have before us adds another layer to the economic viability of District 3, while at the same time providing considerable high-quality housing at an affordable rate for our residents," said Viagran. "To date, 686 homes have been constructed, and 131 lots are ready for development as this project will contribute to the City's housing goals."

Mission Del Lago is an 812 acre planned community in the Southside of San Antonio.
