Councilwoman Rebecca J. Viagran invites D3 residents to Mission Marquee Plaza Film Series

SAN ANTONIO (May 16, 2019) – Councilwoman Rebecca J. Viagran welcomes the City and District 3 residents to enjoy the Mission Marquee Plaza Film Series beginning today, May 16. For the fifth year, the World Heritage Office presents FREE family-friendly movies at the historic Mission Drive-In Theatre. For generations, many families created memories at the Mission Drive-In Theater at 3100 Roosevelt Ave.

 

“Mission Marquee Plaza is just one of many gems that make District 3 special, and this film series allows our residents and all of San Antonio to travel back in time and see what generations before us experienced,” said Councilwoman Viagran. “We have a great lineup of movies, something for everyone to enjoy, I hope to see the entire community join us for one of this season’s films and create new memories together.”

 

Starting at 7 p.m., attendees can enjoy entertainment, food trucks, and vendors. Blankets and lawn chairs are encouraged. Films will begin 15 minutes after dusk.

June 1 – Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation
June 15 - Ant Man and the Wasp
June 20 – The Karate Kid
July 6 – Spider Man: Into the Spider Verse
July 18 – Pretty in Pink
July 20 - Black Panther
August 3 - The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part
August 15 - Grease
August 17 - Captain Marvel
September 7 - Dumbo
September 19 – Nacho Libre
September 21 – Cesar Chavez
October 5 – McFarland, USA
October 17 – The Goonies
October 19 - Bumblebee
November 2 - Coco
November 16 – Home Alone & Elf
Screenings will begin 15 minutes after dusk.
