SAN ANTONIO (June 12, 2019) — On Tuesday evening, the District 7 Council Office, Office of the Mayor, and the San Antonio Food Bank provided 250 households with fresh food to replenish their fridges after last week’s power outages. The food distribution was organized after residents contacted the District 7 Office with their needs.

“As I walked the affected neighborhoods and spoke with neighbors, it was clear the damage was greater than anticipated,” said Councilwoman Sandoval. “Thankfully, our collaboration with the Food Bank has meant we can help the hundreds of residents in need after the storm.”

Residents affected by the storm who are still in need can pick up food at the District 7 Office’s fifth and final distribution on Thursday, June 13 at St. Paul’s Community Center, 1201 Donaldson Ave. The first 500 residents will receive food on a first-come first-serve basis beginning at 5 p.m.

Thanks to the Food Bank, St. Vincent de Paul Society, and our many volunteers in assisting with this effort. If you cannot volunteer, we invite you to donate at or
