SAN ANTONIO (June 13, 2019) – Councilwoman Rebecca J. Viagran is proud to inform District 3 residents of the approved E. Highland Boulevard Street Reconstruction and Drainage 2012 Bond project totaling $767,942.00 and the South Gevers Street Drainage Improvement Project totaling $1,072,373.53.

“Alleviating these issues has been a long time coming and a top priority for our office. They require a combination of street reconstruction, underground storm drains and possibly detention basins, but with the help of our constituents, we are one step closer,” said Councilwoman Viagran. Thank you to the residents in these neighborhoods for calling our office, trusting us, and working together to improve District 3.”

The E. Highland Boulevard Project will provide for new drainage inlets and upgrades to the existing underground drainage system located at the intersection of S. New Braunfels and E. Highland Boulevard, as well as street reconstruction of E. Highland Boulevard to eliminate localized flooding.

Also passed was the Professional Services Agreement to provide Engineering Services for the South Gevers Street Drainage Improvement Project which includes a Preliminary Engineering Report (PER) and Plans, Specifications and Estimate (PS&E).
