SAN ANTONIO (July 1, 2019) – The City of San Antonio invites the community to visit Market Square, La Villita, and Plaza Guadalupe this month for a wide variety of events.

 

Market Square Events (514 W. Commerce Street)
Freedom Fest at Market Square
Thursday, July 4 – Sunday, July 7, FREE
Celebrate Independence Day with Market Square’s Freedom Fest event! Enjoy live music, kids’ activities, vendors, and food booths. For the full lineup of all the events, visit the Facebook event page.

 

La Villita Events (418 Villita Street)
Fiesta Noche del Rio
La Villita welcomes the annual Fiesta Noche del Rio event back to the Arneson River Theatre. This musical event features Mexican, Spanish and Texas songs and musical performances. Fiesta Noche del Rio is an annual fund raising project held Fridays and Saturdays at 8:30 p.m., through August 10. Tickets can be purchased at H-E-B, Eventbrite and on the river beginning at 1 p.m. each event day. For more information, please visit the Facebook event page.

 

Bravo! An Evening of Song and Dance
Wednesday and Thursday nights, July 3, 4, 10, 11, 17 and 18, 8 p.m., FREE
Experience and enjoy local talent from around the San Antonio area in the Bravo! Mi Cultura series hosted by the San Antonio Parks and Recreation Department. On Wednesday and Thursday nights, July 3, 4, 10, 11, 17, and 18, bands, dancers and singers will display traditional and modern styles at the Arneson River Theatre.
