San Antonio Public Library Reaches Seven Million Digital Downloads

SAN ANTONIO (July 1, 2019) - San Antonio readers break an all-time record as the San Antonio Public Library reaches seven million digital downloads since its digital catalog launch in August 2007. The Lightning Thief from the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series by Rick Riordan was officially the seven millionth digital download. In 2016, San Antonio Public Library became one of only a handful of library systems to reach one million digital downloads in a calendar year and continues the trend by reaching one million digital downloads within a six month timeframe.

 

The Library’s digital catalog provides 24/7 access to 140,000 eBooks, 2,500 eVideos, 75+ eMagazine titles and 65+ e-AudioBooks. Altogether, the Library’s digital catalog features over 200,000 digital items and is constantly growing.
