Eisenhauer Road Closure

Repairs to railroad crossing will mean a full street closure

WHAT:           San Antonio Transportation & Capital Improvements (TCI) is making commuters aware of an upcoming closure beginning Wednesday, July 10, 2019 starting at 9:00 a.m. on Eisenhauer Road, between Glendora Avenue and Loop 410/I-35. This stretch of Eisenhauer Road is expected to reopen on or before July 12, 2019. Construction crews will be making some repairs at the railroad crossing in order to make the tracks and roadway smoother for automobiles.

WHERE:        Eisenhauer Road, between Glendora Avenue and Loop 410/I-35


ALTERNATE ROUTE:      Traffic will be re-routed to Elkhorn Drive, via Lanark Drive and Glendora Avenue.


MORE:           Signs have already been posted in the area to alert residents and motorists about the closure and detours. The construction is part of an ongoing, citywide, improvements project that began in October 2017, and is part of a joint partnership that includes TCI and Union Pacific Railroad Corporation to fix crossings within the city limits.
