Registration open for Disaster Prevention and Recovery Summit

SAN ANTONIO (Nov. 15, 2019) – On Nov. 22, 2019, the City of San Antonio will co-host a summit on disaster prevention and recovery with Keidanren USA, the Japan Business Federation, at the Hilton Palacio Del Rio, 200 South Alamo St.



Representatives from Japanese businesses, including the Central Japan Railway Company, Chubu Electric Power, Japan Bank for International Cooperation, Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation, and Tokyo Electric Power Company, will share their experiences and expertise alongside local civic and business leaders in San Antonio. This event, the first in a series of disaster prevention and recovery summits to be held around the nation, will focus on sustainable infrastructure, technological resiliency, and emergency preparedness.



The event will begin at 12:30 PM and conclude at 5:00 PM. Lunch will be provided and a networking reception will follow the main program. It is free and open to the public, but reservations are required and will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Please email Daniel.Khalil@sanantonio.gov by November 20 to secure a seat.
