SAN ANTONIO (Sept. 3, 2020) – Today, the San Antonio City Council appointed interim City Clerk Tina Flores as the new City of San Antonio City Clerk. The Office of the City Clerk manages historical records of the city, City Council minutes, municipal elections, birth and death records and boards and commissions.
“I’m honored to accept the position of San Antonio City Clerk and I look forward to serving the mayor, City Council and the residents of San Antonio,” said City Clerk Tina Flores.
City Clerk Flores has worked for the City of San Antonio for 19 years and holds a Master of Jurisprudence with a dual concentration in Compliance Law and Commercial Law from St. Mary’s School of Law. She also holds a Master of Business Administration & Bachelor of Arts and Administration Degree with a Minor in Information Systems from the University of the Incarnate Word.
“Tina’s commitment to public service and understanding of San Antonio makes her ideal to lead the Office of the City Clerk,” said Mayor Ron Nirenberg. “The work of the City Clerk’s Office is vital to the City of San Antonio and I know City Clerk Flores will continue on the great legacy of previous City of San Antonio City Clerks.”

Her story of triumph, resilience and perseverance through life’s trials and tribulations speaks to her dedication to public service,” said District 2 Councilwoman Jada Andrews-Sullivan. “Tina has been doing the work and I look forward to seeing all her innovative ways of elevating the City Clerk’s office.”
City Clerk Tina Flores was sworn-in this morning after being selected for the job by a search committee led by District 2 Councilwoman Andrews-Sullivan.
