SAN ANTONIO (February 23, 2021) - This past week the District 2 team purchased hundreds of bottled waters from Artesia Springs of San Antonio to help hundreds of families in need. Five gallon Artesia Springs water jugs along with hundreds of bottled waters were distributed to Northeast Crossing, Mahncke Park Apartments, Senior Living centers and many residential homes in need of immediate water resource in District 2. “This disaster winter storm left so many without water resources vital to life, our team was grateful to assist our community with water,” stated Councilwoman Jada Andrews-Sullivan. “During these times of uncertainty, we must all come together to do what we can. We are part of a city and community that endures and prevails. We continue our efforts as the City of San Antonio has partnered with Bexar County and the San Antonio Food Bank to host additional water distributions at local sites. Thank you to all who continue to make San Antonio proud.” The City of San Antonio, Bexar County and the San Antonio Food Bank opened a total of 13 bottled water distribution sites that will be open until Saturday, March 6, 2021. District 2 site is located at 200 Noblewood Dr at the Wheatley Heights Sports Complex. Water Distribution sites will be open daily from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Visit: sanantonio.gov to learn more about bottled water distribution sites. For volunteer information, please visit: safoodbank.org.
