SAN ANTONIO (April 13, 2021) — San Antonio Public Library’s (SAPL) Cortez Branch, named after Raoul A. Cortez, pioneer of Spanish language radio and television stations in the United States, is turning 40! Situated in southwest San Antonio, Cortez Branch Library has served countless San Antonio area children, teens, and adults over the past 40 years. In celebration of this milestone, SAPL will be hosting a virtual event with in-person come-and-go interaction on Tuesday, April 13, 2021. Visit SAPL’s virtual event beginning at 10 AM on April 13 to see video remarks by: SAPL Director Ramiro S. Salazar; District 4 Councilwoman Dr. Adriana Rocha Garcia; SAPL Board of Trustees Chair Paul Stahl; District 4 SAPL Board of Trustees Representative Andrea Sanchez; and a page dedicated to Raoul A. Cortez with a statement from his grandson, Guillermo C. Nicolas.
