A property owner, with support from neighboring properties, has submitted an application for historic district designation for a portion of the Woodlawn Place Neighborhood. Property owners within the proposed district received an initial mailed notification that an application has been submitted. OHP hosted an information meeting in February. All property owners in the proposed district have been mailed a postcard to indicate either their support or their opposition to the proposed historic district designation. OHP staff will collect the postcards and verify each response by phone. A record of all owner feedback is maintained by OHP throughout the process. OHP is currently collecting and verifying these responses from property owners within the proposed boundary. Once staff has verified that 51% of the properties within the proposed district support initiation of the designation process, a hearing will be scheduled by the Historic & Design Review Commission. Property owners will receive written notification of that hearing, and this website will be updated with the confirmed date.
