The San Antonio Financial Empowerment Centers offer free, one-on-one professional financial counseling to all residents.

Financial Empowerment Center counselors can help you:

  • Take control of your debt
  • Deal with debt collectors
  • Improve your credit
  • Build your savings
  • Create a budget
  • Find safe and affordable financial products
  • Other services based on your needs

Financial Empowerment Centers are located at The Neighborhood Place and at the Claude Black Community Center on San Antonio’s West and East Sides.

To schedule an appointment, please call The Neighborhood Place or the Claude Black Community Center. Daytime, evening and weekend appointments are available. Services are free and available to all residents regardless of income.

The Financial Empowerment Centers are a partnership between the City of San Antonio, the Family Service Association and the United Way of San Antonio and Bexar County, and supported Bloomberg Philanthropies and Living Cities’ Cities for Financial Empowerment (CFE) Fund. Learn more about the Cities for Financial Empowerment (CFE) Fund.
