SENIOR CENTER UPDATE
Effective Monday, April 12th, 6 of the 10 Comprehensive Senior Centers will open at reduced capacity (25%) with abbreviated indoor and outside service offerings along with virtual programming. We will continue to work on expanding center activities and ask for your patience.
Please note, all City of San Antonio PT Nutrition Sites will continue to be closed.
Meals and food commodities will continue to be provided via curbside pickup and home delivery for members with transportation and mobility challenges. Morning (7:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.) and afternoon (1:00 p.m. – 3:45 p.m.) recreation time will be available via a reservation process.
The following centers will be open on April 12th at 25% capacity:
The remaining 4 Comprehensive Senior Centers will open at a later date due to Winter Storm Damage Repairs being completed and centers serving as Community Vaccination Sites.
Our commitment in maintaining a center environment that protects the health and safety of our employees, members and guests remains our top priority. To accomplish this, a variety of health and safety measures have been put into place to support the well-being of those utilizing our facilities.
Here are a few things you can expect upon returning to your senior center:
- Face masks will be required to be worn at all times
- Health screenings and temperature checks will be conducted prior to gaining entrance into the center
- Physical distancing of 6ft will be practiced
- Reservations will be required to participate in senior center activities
