The March is 2.75 miles and starts at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Academy, travels up Martin Luther King Drive, and ends at Pittman Sullivan Park, all on the City’s historic East Side. To maintain the spirit of the March and for the safety of participants, motorcycles, cars and other motor vehicles are not allowed in the March procession.

VIA Bus Service
VIA Metropolitan Transit will operate bus service to the City of San Antonio’s 2015 Martin Luther King (MLK), Jr. Commemorative March on Monday, January 19, 2015.
Bus service to the March will be offered from St. Philip's College Lot 22, and the Freeman Coliseum Lot 1. Look for directional lot signage at each facility. Buses will take passengers to the March between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m., and return trips will run from noon to 3:00 p.m. The drop-off point for service to the March will be on MLK Drive and Upland Drive. The pick-up location for return service will be at Pittman Sullivan Park.
The service will be provided at no charge to the public for those who park at St. Philip’s College and the Freeman Coliseum.
