Matthew Hobson
Environmental Services Manager
Career
Matthew Hobson is the Environmental Manager for the City of San Antonio's Solid Waste Management Department. He oversees the department's waste reduction policy initiatives including the neighborhood recycling education team, commercial recycling policies, and strategic planning activities. Matthew has worked in the solid waste industry for five years and has extensive experience in financial analysis, process improvement, solid waste operations budgeting and forecasting, and solid waste strategic planning. He joined the City of San Antonio in 2008 as a Management and Budget Analyst and since has worked in various analyst and leadership roles within the Solid Waste Management Department as well as the Office of Management and Budget.
