Organics Overview

All San Antonio residents have the opportunity to receive a green organics recycling cart as part of the new Pay As You Throw (PAYT) program. The green cart is for the weekly curbside collection of organic material such as:

  • Leaves
  • Grass
  • Shrub and tree trimmings
  • Food scraps
  • Food-soiled paper (e.g., used napkins, paper plates, and pizza boxes)
